Joseph — Bible Hero Card

Life Story

Joseph was his father's favorite son, and his ten older brothers hated him for it. They threw him in a pit and sold him as a slave to merchants headed for Egypt. In Egypt, he was falsely accused by his master's wife and imprisoned for years. Yet at every low point, Scripture says the same thing: the LORD was with Joseph. His ability to interpret dreams eventually brought him before Pharaoh, and within a day the slave-prisoner became the second most powerful man in the world. When his brothers came to Egypt begging for food during the famine, Joseph revealed himself — and forgave them. His verdict on his entire ordeal: God meant it for good.
